Lily's Pickles and Chutneys
are made using traditional pickling techniques with sugar and vinegar acting as preservatives and creating texture. We do not use gelling agents, artificial preservatives, e-numbers or colourants.
All our chutneys are made in maslin pans, stirred by hand and cooked for a long time; many factory-made products are brought quickly to the boil in huge vats then set and preserved with chemicals. Our slow cooking techniques produce the wonderful depth of flavour which characterises Lily's products.
All the recipes are our own but many have respect for traditional products. Only top-quality fesh fruit and vegetables are used together with quality herbs and spices.
